I am an HR graduate and practiced for a few years before I realized my true calling was in events planning and management.
I am a go getter and No isn't something I take to: even when situations seem grim I never give up. I step back and restrategize.
I used to help friends plan for their functions then one day I offered to help plan for a friend and from then it's been word of mouth advertising.
Kenya is a cosmopolitan place we have the beaches, mountains and various climatic conditions depending on which part of the county you are in.
business has grown and we are thankful we have loyal and repeat clients. We had a lot of challenges when we started as people chose to go with bigger and better established companies. We braved that and managed to still get clients and the client list is still growing.
We want to grow slowly but surely. We have been in the field for a few years to know what we want and how to get there. At the moment we are working on how to build our own stock and some items e.g place mats and charger plates we have invested in. In time we will continue to build on these and that way we will not need to keep out sourcing when we are planning for our events.
Most profits are ploughed back into the business (purchase or napkin rings, charger plates, place mats) and the ideas is to keep doing that.
I will get wifi connection for the house. This will help me surf as and when I please, I will be able to see what the current market trends are and try and bring those trends into my event planning.
I'll now also be able to focus more on social media marketing/ advertising. Find more suppliers for my expansion plans as well as compare with what other places do for their events.
