Alice Phiri is my name, I grew up in a shanty compound of George Compound. Iam a single mother of two children whom I look after alone. My husband died 3 years ago and life has not been easy for the family. He was the only bread winner as I was just a house wife. I never completed school and dropped out before getting married. I could not continue because I got pregnant at a tender age and I was forced to get married.
Due to the demise of my husband and hardship followed as a family, that made to venture into business to bring poverty to an end. Following the formation of the women's cooperative in our community which I enjoyed . I learnt skills of entrepreneurship and became entrepreneur to over come hard challenging we were facing as family.
On my free time, I love adventure and go out for picknic with children and explore new things.
I have a shop in our community and ran auto shop of which I sale motor vehicles spare parts. I sale a variety of spare parts and demand is very high demand, I only lack enough capital to stock up more spare parts because they sale very fast and I make good profits. Hence should inject more capital I will be able to make more revenue and grow the business. The little profits I make , I support my two children , pay school fees and improve the living standard of the family. We now have three meals per day instead of having one meal per day.
Currently my dream is very big for my business because their is great potential and opportunity for it grow big in our community and become one stop shop for auto spare parts.
Following high demand in my Auto Spare Parts Shop, I need to stock up the shop with more motor vehicle spare parts to meet demand. Customers need satisfaction which am unable to meet due to lack of capital or funds to stock up all the stocks of spare parts in the shop. Hence funds will benefit me by stock up and meet customer satisfaction. The profits made will be used to sponsor my children top school and provide 3 three meals for my family. My community will be provided with good and geniune motor vehicle spare parts to buy from my shop.
