Nkhoma Selina is my lovely name. I live in Mufulira town and located in Chaisa compound. I was raised by grand father, who take care of me. I lost my parents when I was a little boy. My education background has been a struggle especially paying school fees. Some times I used to be chased from school due to none payment of school fees. My grandfather was not working he was just a bricklayer depending on contractors to hire him. Hence life was hard for me and find it difficulty to pay school on time. My grand father kept encouraging me to work hard on my school of which I did and I passed very and obtained a school certificate that pave for me to enroll at Eden University to study pharmacy. Having worked in school and graduated that opened many doors of opportunities for me in my life to over come some hardship. I got a job at a private clinic working as a pharmacist and raised some funds to start up a business for additional income. When growing I have always had the passion to become a business man and own boss in my life. I got interested to apply for a loan with Zidisha because I have the vision to grow my business by providing good medical care for the people in our community and my family.
I ran a small pharmacy in our community of which I hope of growing the business. but I do not have enough capital to ran the business. In my pharmacy I sale drugs of different types such cough syrups, tables like malaria drugs, panado, pain v, antibiotics and many more other drugs when required by the customers. Demand is very high because in our community it is the only small pharmacy or drugs that provides medical drugs. I sale very fast because of high demand. I started with a small of ZMW 1000.00 and I make 400.00 as profit hence I need ZMW 7500 addition capital to have an inventory of drugs and stock up more drugs in the pharmacy. Should I do this I will making a lot profits and the business could expand.
The funds will be used to stock up more drug in my pharmacy. Demand for medical drugs is very high in our community. Due to a number of illness the demand for drug is increasing daily in our community and as such I need the funds to buy or order more drugs for patients customers to buy and get better. More I will be selling , the more I will be generating more profits and improve the living standard of my family and ensure that the community is provide with the needed drugs and get good medication .
