Naomi Waithera Mukuria are my official names.I am a born again christian,a wife to Mr.Muteti and a mother to Charles & Collins,both at school level.

I am the second born in order from the ten other siblings.I was born in Ndaragwa district,central province.I went for my basic education at a local school until i did my K.C.P.E final examinations.Later I joined Shamata Girls secondary school for my O level education.After my high school education,I didn't score well,therefore rendering me to stop education at O level.

I have been doing all kind of manual jobs until the year 2010,whereby I had a present from my Grandmother.The gift was a piece of shamba(land)as a token of appreciation for being her namesake and since I am the only girl in my family.She instructed me to be doing farming just as she had been doing previously when she had the strength.

I am now establishing myself and focusing fully on farming.

Agriculture is the core pillar of a growing nation.With agriculture,the famine could be a thing of the past thus making sure that the food supply and the easier available from all areas of Kenya.

There has been an emphasizing initiative to the youths across all over Kenya to stop looking for a white collar jobs,instead to indulge themselves in agriculture.This is the message spreading each new day to cover the deficit the large scale farmers supply.

I therefore being counted part of those who have stopped looking for the employment, and returning to farming.With the help of my grandmother,I am a proud owner of 1.95 acreage farm located within central province.

The land is located approximately 300 meters from the Aberdere river,hence making the availability of good climatic condition for we farmers.I have been thinking of purchasing a manual foot pump machine to assist me in irrigating the land during the dry seasons.The dry seasons in my area is from December to early March of every year.This makes the demand of all farm crops to be higher as few farmers do get the accessibility of water.Most of this farmers have changed the trend,through the erection of either greenhouses or like me,irrigation.

Having me nearer to the river,have made my farming a reality.I am planning to purchase a manual foot pump machine,300 meters pipes,so as to equip myself with the need to farm my land all year long.Thank you.
