My name is Chanda Kasepo a Zambian citizen who grew up from North Western Province in Kasempa district in chief Kasempa compound. I come from a Kaonde speaking family. I come from a humble background whose early childhood life was a nightmare to cope with for me.

Beginning my primary school at an early age was so difficult as parents could not afford to pay for my school fees. This was due to parents being jobless both mum and dad. They were just selling small merchandise like flitters, tomatoes, onions and vegetables to earn some income to buy us food and pay for my school fees and my siblings. Despite all the difficulties and challenges went through, I was able to be enrolled at Kasempa Primary School, where I did my grade one to seven, while at school I was bright and determine to work extra hard and pass my primary Junior exams.

However, to cut the long story short of my background, after following my successes at both junior and secondary level school. Fortunately, I was awarded a scholarship to study medicine at the University of Zambia. I really worked tirelessly to pursue my degree program in Pharmacy because I wanted to better my life so that I could up life and help my poor parents living in the village where I come from a better life .

Having achieved this important goal in my life and looking at how jobs are hard to find after graduating from the University, I saw am opportunity of becoming an entrepreneur and open a Pharmacy in our community.Living in a rural set up access to medical care is very hard and mostly people have to walk long distances and having a Pharmacy in the community could be an advantage for the people in the community to access and buy drugs with in the community.

As a mother of 3 children , I will be a proud mother, should I educate my children to become important people in society. It is my prayer and wish all my children the best in their academic education.

I ran a pharmacy in our community and sell medical drugs. These medical drugs are very useful to many patients due to different illnesses in our community especially people suffering from malaria are helped and Bp, diabetic patients can access to drugs in my pharmacy. BP and Diabetic patients have also access to testing machine and drugs. I choose to venture in pharmacy or the selling of drugs because of the passion of caring for patients in our community, growing up in the rural set up, I saw many of my family members die due to lack of access to safe drugs hence I have wanted to set up a Pharmacy when I graduate from school. After seeing a great opportunity of making a lot of money in this business , I decided to create employment opportunity to the youths in our community because medical drugs are in high demand and because most people die of tropical diseases like malaria due to lack of access to safe and better medical drugs in the village. The cost of running the business is approximately ZMW 25,000.00 and stocking up the drugs , per day I generate ZMW 4000-6000, as profits. Once the business is empowered with funds I will expand and create more job opportunities to the youths in the community who just abusing alcohol at a tender age and drug abuse in the community due to lack of jobs for the youths.

With the increaseing health demands in our community I need to add more drugs in my pharmacy especially drugs like cough syrups for both children and adults, pain killers, malaria drugs, and many more to combat diseases breaking out due to floods of water which is becoming stagnant and hazard to people's lives in the community.
