My name is Alfred Owusu, and I hail from Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. I had both my basic and secondary education in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. I am the second born of my parents. I currently am teaching at Berekum. I also have my own bookshop, with the name ALFREDOO BOOKS AND STATIONERY CENTRE. My hobbies are: reading, writing, and music.
I established a bookshop and stationery centre in the year 2011, in the Berekum Municipality, called ALFREDOO BOOKS AND STATIONERY CENTRE. I opened it in my community because of high demand. The stationery centre helps me to take care of my parents and also my younger sister, who is currently in senior high school. I started this business in a small kiosk. My community is large, yet there is no other bookshop apart from ALFREDOO BOOKS AND STATIONERY CENTRE. Now, I have rented a block-room store for my business, because the small kiosk no longer is sufficient. I have a lot of books and many other materials, including Oxford Dictionary, Macmillan Dictionary, exercise books, story books, A4 sheets, A3 sheets, cardboard, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, crayons, marker pens, white boards, math sets, notebooks, chalk, etc. All parents come for books and other materials for their wards, especially when school re-opens. And every printing centre always comes for printing materials. Reputable banks and other companies also always buy their materials from my stationery centre. The profit from this business is beneficial.
Although I have profit, it is woefully inadequate for me to expand the business. I want to be able to satisfy my customers and always supply them with what they need, on a regular basis. So, I am pleading to Zidisha and dear lenders to help me expand my business. I hope you will not turn your back on me, and will support me in this effort. Thank you.
