I am a 63 year old man, born on 06/12/1951 in Dakar (Senegal). Although I came from a poor family, I was schooled. I hold a 2nd degree beekeeping certificate, issued by the apiary Experimental School and Application of the House of Bees and Nature of Châtellerault in France, for the academic year 2005/2006. I have 24 years of experience in the field of modern beekeeping, which is really my passion. I decided to settle in Burkina Faso, specifically in the city of Koudougou, and have lived here since 2002. Once I really earned my living in this area, I achieved some of my dreams.
Currently in this business I make my living fully. I got married here to a Burkinabe woman and I have two children who go to school. My business is the operation of modern beehives and harvesting honey, along with processing and packaging the honey. I am building a small unit to process and package the honey, with data processing and packaging equipment (drainer, ripeners, packaging, labels, stickers, etc.). In addition, I am marketing the finished products under the label: "Honey from the Land of Honest People." The finished products sell in the local market for a profit of 750 francs per package. Because I can sell more than 35 packages per week, or 26,250 francs profit, I find myself with a monthly income of 105,000 francs. This monthly income I can repay the loan comfortably. I am pleased that Zidisha will help me to achieve my dreams. Thank you!
I would like this loan to expand my business, which is the processing and packaging of honey from Burkina Faso. With this funding I will expand my honey processing unit, which allows me to package many tins of honey and sell more on the commercial market. And I will gain a lot more income than before, which will allow me to repay the loan comfortably.
I would like to grow my honey business
