Am a Kenyan, born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya.Am 37 years old who is a husband and father to a 7 year old daughter . A first born of three all raised by a single mother. My mother educated each of us alone until i finished my secondary education and decide to seek employment to cater for my college tuition fee so i could ease my mum's financial load. I love music and got interested in it as my uncle owned a sound system service business. He gave me my first job as a DJ and it grew on me from 2000.Since then i have ventured into small scale ventures like,importing and selling DVDs from Tanzania to videography at weddings and parties to supplement my DJ gig. Eventually i was able to register a media business in 2008 known as EVOLUTION CONCEPTS.
I am employed at a 4 star hotel in the north coast of Mombasa county for about 8 years now , but also ran my Evolution Concept business which i have diversified to include graphics and adverts designing along with hire of P.A sound systems which i own and DJ services to clients in conferences,functions ,exhibitions,weddings e.t.c. Also i do wedding videography with two casual staff.. I have a passion for entertainment service and creative designing and have build a good network of clientele but would like to expand more in the corporate sector but,capital investment is a hindrance. . My monthly turnover is about Ksh. 50,000 ,additional income is salary from my employment at around Ksh.39,000 .I have divesified to TV rentals for coporate and private functions.My monthly overheads amount to about Ksh.20,000 (transportation,wages and maintenance). Also my salary supports my family needs ,school fees and rent. I recognize that loan increment is gradual process so am not expecting my potential first loan to be a large amount but will patiently and promptly repay it so as to realize its full potential and promise.
Am seeking a loan to purchase a new laptop (5years old)because my current one is worn out and has had a damaged screen for about 2 years worsening till i have to use an external monitor, which is inconvenient and limits its portability. the equipment is used in two income ventures, gas supply shop and deejaying. purchasing a new on allows me to use it for my mobile deejay gigs while keeping the older one permanently at the shop connected to a monitor. Repairing is too expensive compared with the cost and reliability of a new one. It will therefore improve my efficiency, portability and support both businesses
