I was born on 27th December, 1993 in Chifunabuli. I'm single and a Zambian and my names are Christopher Chabu a bemba by tribe.
I started my primary school during my childhood, due to financial challenges at home I was not able to continue with my education up to the highest level I desired. However, my time in school helped me gain basic reading and writing numeracy skills, these skills have helped me to manage my small business and communicate with my customers, and make responsible decisions.
Despite challenges I remained hardworking and focused on improving my life through entrepreneurship.
My parents were farmers so through farming of growing Maize and doing peace of work I made a capital of which I managed to start Small by keeping few goats. It was not easy In the beginning I faced challenges such as lack of capital, limited shelter for the animals and difficult accessing proper feed and veterinary services however I remained focused and committed. I reinvested any small amount I gained back into the business and continued improving my skills in animal Care and management.
Through determination, I focused on farming and livestock rearing even when conditions we're tough. I woke early work long hours and treated my animals with care knowing that this effort was an investment in my future and now I have built a better life.
I saw that animals such as goats grow fast, require manageable capital to Start and have ready market which makes the business sustainable.
The business also gave me a chance of self-reliant. Even when I did not have formal employment or large financial support.
Farming is a very important culture of my land.
My hobby is livestock farming. I enjoy taking care of my animals, learning how to raise them well and watching them grow healthy working with animals give me peace of mind and satisfaction, and it also helps me improve my skills in farming and responsibility.
I will use loan funds to strengthen and expand my livestock farming business in a planned and responsible manner. A potion of the fund will be used to purchase quality livestock so that I can increase production and market demand. I will also use Part of the money to buy animal feed, veterinary drugs. Vaccine to ensure the animals remains healthy and productive.
In additional the funds will help in improving housing structures to protect the animals from deseases and harsh weather. Some of the capital will be reserved for operational cost such as transport to market and record keeping, which will help the business run smoothly and profitably.
