Atiah Mprugu is my name. I come from Kyiripone in the Volta Region of Ghana. I was born on 26th March 1982. My parents are Mr.Atiah Musa and the late Mad.Nsobea Ampaabeng. My mother died when i was 5 years old so i could not experience motherly love and affection.I attended primary school at Kyiripone and went to Navrongo Senior High School. I wanted to become a professional Teacher but unfortunatly the Cashew farm my father was using to take care of us got burnt . My mother's family members ordered my father to vacate the land because they wanted to do poultry farm on it since it was their land. After the farm got burnt, life became very hard for us so i could not further my education to the tertially level. I started working as a daily labourer to get food to eat. One day i got a job as a gardner in mr.Atsevo's recidence. I was very happy because i will get food to eat daily without suffering too much. I took the advantage of been a gardner to cultivate groundnut and beans to sell on my own. I tried to save that income in addition to my monthly salary. 2 years 8 months later, i was able to save up to $420 .So i started my fabric and polyster materials business.

Iam into buying and selling of fabrics and polyster materials.I started my business with $420 which i got from working as a gardner for 2 years 8 months. Because my family is very poor, i wanted a business that will fetch me more profit so that i can help taken care of my younger ones and give better education to my children in future so that they may not suffer as i have suffered. Infact patronisation was encouraging and people do not travel to the city to buy materials for sewing. I earn in between $40 to $45 a week as a profit .I use some of my profits to support my younger siblings, pay my taxes and utilities, house keeping and the rest is reinvested in my business.

I sencerely thank Zidisha Team for accepting my loan application. I pleading to lenders to kindly fund my loan fully So that i can purchase more fabrics and polyster materials in qwantity so that customers will get their needed and make different choises in buying. There would not be a need for customers to travel to the city to buy fabrics. I will be very happy if my loan is fully funded because my profit is definately going to increase. After investing, i expect my profit to increase from $50 to $60 a week.
