My life has been up and down since childhood but I will never forget 2007/2008 because this was the lowest moment in my life. I was residing in Eldoret for over 5 years but after the 2007 disputed general election, my property was burnt down because I was from a certain tribe and I had to run for safety. Since then I moved to Namboboto and started life again whereby currently am engaged in vegetable farming then selling the produce to the local market and local schools.
When am not farming then am attending women group meeting where local women meet and discuss development issues of the community.
My vegetable business has been growing step by step because I started for own consumption but now its for commercial purpose whereby I have increased the size of the area where the vegetables are planted and also I have introduced other types of vegetables such as spinach and pumpkin. My customers involves individuals and local schools. My customers like buying vegetable from my farm because I don't use chemicals for farming and the water used is also clean. I have been saving most of my profit so that I can expand my business. I want to expand my business thus I kindly request you to consider supporting me.
Once my loan is fully funded I intend to expand my farming business by buying spinanch seeds at 25 dollars, organic manure at 30 and hire 3 casual laborers to assist in preparing the garden at 30 dollars. I have saved 30 dollars towards the spinanch project thus I invite Zidisha lenders to fund my loan with the balance. Through the support of the Zidisha lenders, I will plant spinanch in my farm hence it will ensure I meet the demand of my customers who range from individuals to local institutions. This will also increase my profit and I will use it to expand my farming business by introducing other types of vegetables and fruits and also improve my life by pursuing technical education to run the farming business professionally. Kindly support my spinanch business by funding and spreading the word to other lenders.
