I was born in a village called Akyena at a town called Ejisu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. I had my primary and basic education all in this village and my secondary education in Toase all in the Ashanti Region of Ghana and God being so good to me i had the chance of entering the tertiary education with the help of my district assembly through scholarship. In view of this i was able to attain my educational qualification as a graduate now.
Having attained this qualification in my village among the very few graduates in my village, i decided to come out with something that will help my community as a whole. In view of this, i decided to come out with something to help my people since I got to know that Malnutrition is a major problem there especially among the young ones. So in my own small way decided to come out with some nutritional foods that can be given to them at an affordable price to help curb this menace. I was able to do all this through the help of the only health center in the village where most of these foods are being introduced to them and being educated on the nutritional facts or values of these foods since I am a nurse myself. My people are mostly peasant farmers and for that matter live within their means making it impossible to achieve some social amenities which will help them as a whole. My children are very young with the ages of 2 and 4 years and wish they can grow up to achieve whatever they want to be in the future and help our community and our country Ghana as whole. I like farming and will wish to become a national chief farmer someday all though I am a nurse by profession.
I am into food processing and I am doing this on a small scale and wish to expand it in the near future when I get enough funds for expansion. My people have been suffering from malnutrition which should have been a thing of the past in this global world hence the need for this initiative to curb all these problems from my village. My people are peasant farmers and are very poor making it impossible for them to acquire or get some social amenities which will help them in the community. They eat anything they lay hands on without considering the nutritional contents of it because they want to live within their means hence affecting their growth and a whole lot of illnesses. This touched me so much to help them since i myself is a nurse by profession and a native of this same community and cannot sit aloof and see things going bad in my own community where I was born and bred. It cost me about $65 a day only on fuel to generate my mill since there is no electricity and about $120 a month or two on spare parts and other lubricants since even the whole community depends on my corn mill machine for milling their foods and at times gets less revenue as low as $175 a month as my profit and it is being reinvested and some used in paying my children's school fees since they have started crèche and also use to improve my home.
I am writing to you to apply for a loan for the purposes of buying more raw materials for the food processing and spare parts for my corn mill processing machine to enhance my business and my community as a whole.
This will add a more transformation and dynamism to my business and the community i live. I know when my request is granted i will make more profits and achieve a desired projected expansion plans to help my community and also create job for the youth as well.
This is due to the fact that i live in a very poor community and cannot charge more than expected than to charge an exorbitant amount to help my community as a whole and this has affected my inability to procure more raw materials and spare parts for the only corn mill machine which I use in milling my products for my business.
For this purpose i am making a request of a loan to facilitate the acquisition of more raw materials for my food processing business and spare parts for my corn mill machine which also serves the entire community.
