I am Evance Ochieng Anyango, I was born in 1988 as the 10th born child among 14 siblings in my mothers house. My father was a polygamist though his 2nd and last wife did not have a child. We grew up in a very loving and caring environment.
EDUCATION: I got schooled in a Government funded school in a rural setting where we studied using kerosene lanterns.
OVERCOMING HARDSHIP: Despite the hardship I grew up in, I struggled to complete my primary Education and since there's was no money to support my high school education, I dropped from school and started selling of plastic wares.
STARTING OWN BUSINESS: Since my parents were poor and my mother had many children to take care of, I saved little money from my little income gained from menial jobs and I managed to raise capital by doing odd jobs and hence hard work and determination bore fruits
UNIQUE CULTURE: The boy child is expected to care of all other siblings on attaining maturity and I had to work hard to take care of my two followers who happened to be girls.
CHILD's CAREER: I am married with one wife and I have two daughters and one son. My eldest daughter wants to be a Nurse and she is grade two in a private school in Mbita, Kenya.
HOBBY: Reading novels and visiting friends.
I have set up my own small household wares (cooking utensils, pots, plastic bowels, spoons and shoes racks) selling business five years ago.
l do sell plates, plastic bowls , pan and so on. I have worked on this business and it has taken me through the crisis of life. I have a very good customers who always buy from me.My business is profitable because I have so many customers so I sell more on a daily basis.I also have so many customers because my prices are very low compared with the prices of my competitors. The risk of my business have been facing is lack of capital to expand my business and and take good care of my family and reinvest some of the profit into the business
I am going to invest all the ZIDISHA loan funds in the business so that my profit and income will increase in order for me to continue to support my grandchildren (the ones who parents have died) to go to school . I make at least US$ 15 per day when sales are good. I will be paying the loan from the profit I make and 40% of the increased profit will be used to expand the business .
I ma requesting for a loan funding of 100US$ to enable me buy the following items for sale in my business;
-US$30 to be used to stock 3 dozens of spoons, spoons are in high demand when school are in session as many school going children buy them for use in in school. I project a profit increment by 20% from the sale of spoons.
-US$40 to be used to purchase plastic basis, many school going children especially high school students do purchase plastic basins for use in school.
-US$30 to be used to buy other household utensils that are in high demand. I will repay the loan in good time and to seek more loans for further business expansion.
