I Started school at age 7 without any pre school and my life was never easy when i was growing up, I used to sell plantain, kenkey to pay for fees at the primary and junior high level and at the secondary school.My mum always encouraged me to study hard to overcome any challenges and l did exactly that but after high school i realized that i have to sacrifice my life for my other siblings to get a better life. I indulge myself in petty trading to be able to pay their fees. Any way I am married with two sons. The older 4 years and the little one 1 year four months. As a trader, who always moves from one town to the other and who has gotten the knowledge of how damaging drinking contaminated water, diseases that is on high alert in my village is cholera and dysentery, it always breaks my heart to see members of the village fetching from this water.The unique thing about this land is that the people are very warm heart but they have no choices to choose from. I always read anything I come by and loves listening to music.
I am a trader that i get my income from my trades.I do try my best also not only to do buying and selling but try to exchange knowledge and i have gotten knowledge about this spread of the cholera, i always try to advise the people in my village about the importance of boiling water before drinking. This has not been enough,primarily go is to build a bore-hole for the village, but i would like to build a well as a start for good water source will be more hygienic than fetching from the same water cattle and other people bath in. The cost of this will be $200. This will go a long way in helping and reducing the disease outbreak here in the village.
With this loan from zidisha and the little that i have there as my savings i will be able to connect pipe borne water to my village so that i can serve the people with good drinking water and they will be free from diseases.
