Hello my name is Elvis Ochieng. I was born and raised in a village in Migori. I had my primary education in Migori Primary School but my parents could barely support my education so i was always on and off from school. At the age of eleven i hard to cultivate other people's farms to get funds to support my education though it was not still enough. Somehow i manged to sit for my primary exams but did not pass that well to be taken in a good secondary school since i didn't attend most of the classes due to lack of fees. I never got the chance to join a secondary school but i enrolled as a private candidate since i was determined to get a secondary certificate. After four years of intense studies as a private candidate i sat for my Secondary Certificate . I passed but again wasn't able to join college due to lack of funds. I now decided to venture into business i started selling clothes..i rem having an initial capital of 500kes. Bought one shirt and sold it for double the price. I continued selling clothes and for a year i managed to save 50,000kes. I reinvested this back to the business since now i had to pay rent for my business premises and support my younger siblings as well as my parents. From where i come from people real value there culture but over the years i have seen some tremendous change in terms of trends and fashion and this is my motivation and inspiration to my business. Over the years my cloth selling business has paid for my siblings education, fed me and my family. I have a wife and a son who says he would love to be a doctor when he grows up , he is currently in class one. Trying the best i can to have the education i never had. I love spending most of my time with family, learning new things over the internet. I love watching movies and i play football as well whenever i get the chance but my business tend to take most of my time.
I started my business over 5yrs ago, my initial capital being only 500kes. Back then i would go hawking clothes to peoples offices since i had no permanent shop. But over the years i have manged to expand and now i have two shops one for the gents clothes and the other for ladies and children clothes. I have employed two people who work for me because am normally on the run to get more clothes for my shops at times travel across countries. Clothes are a basic human necessity so i ventured into it because i knew people will buy as long i have a great sense of trends and fashion. On a good month i could spend up-to 20,000kes buying stock and make up-to double the investment cost for the month of December for instance otherwise there are dry spell days as well but i struggle, could make between 15,000 to 20000 kes. The proceeds normally pay my two works, pay school fees the business premise and my household needs but its never enough. That's why am here asking you the investor to help me have more capital to invest more in this business. I have more experience in this sector and given the chance could help me and you grow tremendously. Thank you in advance and looking forward to your generous offer.
Hi? My intention is to access more financial aid but i do believe that in-order to get that i have to prove that am credit worthy. Be able to pay my loan so Zidisha has offered me a loan minimum of 10usd which will be able to buy a few stocks every week. The 10usd can purchase for me 2 clothes be it a shirt or trouser each at 5usd each. That i could in turn sell at 8usd each making a profit of 6usd in one or two days then the circle continues for a week. And with that i get to grow my business and my investor business as well. So with that i expect a tremendous increase in profits by at-least 50-60percent as my loan limit gets increased at zidisha.
