got my start in photography in 2007, shortly after I graduated from University with my bachelors in psychology. After working for my father’s company for 2 years, the company lost its funding. I lost my job, my car, and became homeless trying to help my father secure new funding, but we were unsuccessful. Feeling the pressure of not knowing where my next meal would come from, my mother bought me a train ticket to Rochester. So with 4 outfits and a camera that my dad gave me, I started my new life.
Moving to a new place ended becoming a major blessing. Trying to find a job in my field in Kumasi was tough. I searched for a while but finally decided I wanted to take photography seriously and see if I could make it a career. So I started watching every YouTube video I could find on camera function, bought books on lighting, I studied the work of photographers that I loved. I did tons of free shoots to practice and build my style as a photographer. Thru hard work, positive thinking, and following thru with a plan, I have been able to build what I have today.
The name of my business is Goodknews Photography and my studio is located in Asokore Mampong, I been in business I have been able to work with a number of amazing businesses and people like Mayor Lovely , City Grill, Cams Pizza, The D&C, and The Police Locust Club to name a few. Not only do I work out , but I also travel to other citis to work on projects as well. I totally love what I do, and I am so grateful to be Making a Living doing what I Love.
This loan will help me grow my business by providing me the capital to purchase new and better equipment , props , backgrounds , expand my studio and get merchandise to keep promoting Goodknews photography in a positive way. I am very excited about this oportunity for my business.
