Good Evening Everyone My Name is Ngosa simfukwe i grew up in Mbala where i was the first born out of 6 children my father was a chorcoal Burner he did what he could to feed us but it was still difficult especially on the rainy seasons .he tried his best to educate me and my siblings but it was always on and off and so my school ended in Grade seven,my mother had a backyard vegtable Garden and thats where i began having a small skill of planting vetables i later on learnt to even grow maize,As the older one i slowly started growing maize and selling the maize as time went by my Father was nolonger with us and i had a wife ,we have 4 children together . my siblings despite the hardship went seperate ways but we still communicate,i continued surviving by Growing and selling maize on a small scale but as my Children are growing so have been the demands am doing all i can in the field and also side jobs just to take educate my children ,my wife didnt have a good back ground education but is Good at the house chores and looking after the children.my first child wants to be a Farmer the second wants to fly planes the 3rd one wants to be a police and the last one is still young ,i usually mend pipes ,stoves at my free time and i need a better future for my wife and children not the one that i found myself in.
My Business is saling maize i sale both fresh maize boiled or roasted and if dried maize i take it to the nearest community mealing to sale so they can grind it into mealie meal,i choose this kind of business cause thats what helped me and my family survive and my community people staple food is maize the little sales i make go to the education of my children and also i do what i can to ensure theres something on the table for my family to eat. Despite these high investments for my children i have been trying to save up bit by bit so i can expand the land am growing maize on ,as i would like to also grow fresh vegtables there and more maize field expantion.
With these funds i would like to increase my station of production and supply of Maize and with the profits i would like to continue sponsering my children at school and in the near future i want to open a food reserve to help the community aswell.
