I was born in a polygamous family of eight children, four boys and four girls.Being the only child to my mother i have gone through a lot of pain in order to acquire the basic needs since i had no one to be by my side since i was born out of wedlock. My father being a drunk and a heavy smoker cared less about my special needs but am glad he paid my fees and so i had to work hard on peoples compounds and farms in order to find some little money to buy books and take care of transport and for my upkeep at school. the only weapon i had in life was saying from my mother that,"time waits for no man,"so i did not depend on anyone or wait to be given but i learn t how to act immediately whenever there rose a need in order to satisfy my priorities.

After school my father made it clear to me that he had no any other business with me so i had to move away from home and find a life on my own without his support. That is when i took a step and acted before he threw me out which he is good at. I took my old school uniforms and sold them and an omax watch which i inherited from mum. This gave me some little cash to be able to start a small business for vending shirts door to door.I cloud not start with new shirts since the people here are low class living and they go for quantity and not quality.

With this little business i have been able to take care of my college fees and sustain the upkeep of my little daughter who is now turning five years.

During my free time i always visit my friends and be together with them since they have been a true shoulder to learn on in times of trials and real people to depend on and also i like making new friends.

I started vending mitumba shirts or in other words the second hand shirts within my community which i started with and up to now i am still doing the same business.

As opportunities arise, every man wants to look descent despite the harsh economic challenges and family demands. But money isn't a darling in every mans pocket,so they opt to look presentable but at a manageable rate.So with my shirts i have had clients coming in bounty.Every single workplace currently they demand every of their staffs to be smart and official while at work and we all believe a clean shirt everyday makes one tick on such a demand and you would not just wear the same shirt everyday but have several to change and since men are lazy at laundry work they prefer have a good stock of shirts.

I chose this business because at the moment i did not have proper capital and that is what i could afford then. Also men are lazy to go to the market and according to African culture they believe its a taboo. So i take the initiative to bring the goods at their doorstep which saves them time energy hence profit on my side.

The little money i make out of this business is just enough to pay my house rent and ensure my family's basic needs are met on time no matter how huge they are but i try a lot.I also try to my very best to ensure that i increase my stocks so as to widen my capital margins.

At the end of every month i need to ensure that i increase my stock ,i need to ensure i have transport because sometimes a client can call from a distant location and i need to deliver the goods and on this i also need enough airtime to communicate with my clients. Sometimes my clients give special orders so i am forced to press deeper in my pocket in order to meet their demands and place a smile on their faces. Also my family's secondary needs comes in which really weighs me down but all in all i need to seriously attend to them as the head of the family.

At the moment i need to get money in order to introduce other varieties like the trousers, socks ,neck ties and suits which are abit expensive but i believe they are inline with my shirts and most of my clients are in high demand. With this i believe it will give me proper profit margins to be able to survive as a common man and live a descent life as others since finding a a job is not as easy as bread n butter and with a lot of corruption to acquire the white collar jobs has become a nightmare. I believe my business is a safe umbrella to tower under. I also want to widen my business and employ people to do the sales for me as i go back to school to finish my degree in business administration.

As i get this loan,i plan to increase my stock and machandise by introducing the sale of second hand suite at a cost of USD 250 which is the cost of one bale to start with.

By introducing suits into my business i believe i will be able to win more customer and entirely fulfill the needs of my current clients. With this at least the low class can be able to afford a suit and dress decently to work as the middle class hence bridging the gap between the rich and the poor.

From this i believe my profit margins will grow drastically atleast a bale worth USD250 will give returns of about ksh.50,000 which help me rise to the next level and help others grow.
