My name is Peter, a young man from coastal town of Malindi, Kenya. I was raised in humble family background. I completed O-level education and got admission letter to University to pursue Information Technology but my family were not able to finance the tuition to University education and opted to purse a Diploma in the same field.
I have worked in various institutions as ICT teacher and through my earnings, I have been able to educate my siblings & help my family. I have had a dream of starting a ICT Center offering Computer Proficiency courses around my area.
Currently working as a freelance IT personnel and part time ICT teacher. I have several students whom I teach them ICT but am faced with some challenges. I conduct my ICT lessons using a single laptop to my students and lack of permanent workstation for the lessons.
I am a good ICT teacher with the years of experience in the teaching industry and have been training young people & adults on the current ICT skills. I wish to continue impact knowledge to people on ICT skills and open up an ICT Center where people would come for learning.
I intended to use the amount in:
1. Securing an office space for learners to come and undertake their ICT lesson
2. Furnishing the office with standardized workstations.
3. Adding 2 more laptops as workstations for the learners.
4. Connecting the office with internet connectivity.
Though the loan amount might not guarantee the operational cost of opening an ICT Center, will keep the amount into meaningful use in the business and repay the loan early enough to help improve my credit limit. Will highly appreciate any support will receive. Thank you in advance.
