am a resident of Nakuru, born in the year 1988 at a place called Njoro, i grew up during my tender age at that village. I managed to access education at Umoja Primary school in Njoro before joining gigiri secondary school.
I rfaced the greatest challenge that i have ever faced in life is having to cope with the death of my father. It happened when i needed him most. My father passed on when i had just finished my form four and as a result, i was forced to quit school because he was the only bread winner and hence with his death i lacked someone capable of educating me. Life became hard of us and at some point we could do without food. We had a very big piece of land at home and one day i though of converting the land into an agricultural productive land. I first planted maize, it took time to grow but we managed to harvest 50 sacks of maize. Our lifes changed again from that spot because with the assistance of my mum we were able to school my siblings. That is how i started the farming business that i engage myself in to the very date.
i am a farmer in Nakuru engaging in the planting and selling of food crops. This goods are useful because they are what we require to survive each and everyday. It help in the building and growing of our bodies by this fact the goods are very useful and on very high demand. I chose to do this business of two reasons, the death my father who was the main bread winner and therefore being the first born son, i had to take care of my mother and also my siblings, another reason why i chose the business is because we had a very big piece land that was idle and i thought of converting it to an agricultural productive land. I use the profits that i make to support siblings in school, support mother and also ensure the sustainability of our business
I am humbled by the opportunity given to request the loan, i will use the money to buy a money maker pump that will be used to do irritation of my crops at the moment i have planted cabbages and bean that requires a lot of water. The machine cost 500 Us dollars and with the loan, i will be able to buy the machine
l will benefit from the machine because i will be able to water my crops particularly in this dry month of January, other community members will also benefit from the machine because i will be leasing to them to irrigate their crops at a fee.
I expect an increase in income because with leasing of the machine i will be getting money.
