My name is Laban Okoth, born and raised in Migori, Kenya. I'm the fourth born child in a family of five children. I joined Kanga Primary School in the year 2010 for my basic education, where I graduated in 2018 before joining Kokuro Boys High School in 2019. I graduated from high school in 2023, but was unlucky to join tertiary institution because of financial constraints. I therefore ventured into vegetables farming for commercial distribution. In mid 2025, I was able to purchase a motorbike, which I use for transporting people and goods; hence I'm a commercial motorbike rider at times when I'm not dealing with farming activities. I have employed a friend with whom we graduated from the same school, as my rider who handles the motorbike whenever I'm busy with other activities.
I love football as a hobby.
I have a multiple sources of income, where I do vegetables farming, which is the main business. I also have a motorbike that is used for commercial transportation services within Rongo town and beyond. I started this business in mid 2025, from my vegetables sales savings; a venture I started immediately after graduating from high school. I chose this business because of its nature of quick income generation.
Currently, I'm working on ways of generating more income with a dream of joining a college and learn a skill as a professional path as I continue my businesses, employing people to manage when I'm away.
Road means of transport needs a well serviced motorbike or vehicles transporting people and goods. The funds will be utilised in servicing and maintenance of my motorbike to ensure efficiency and reliability for transportation. This will increase my income, enabling me to cater for daily costs and a part of my family expenses, as I ensure a reliable service delivery to my community.
