Ailed Mwansa is my name. I live in Lusaka town the capital city of Zambia. I'm located in Chilenje South Township. While growing in our community as a small girl, I was very bright in my academic studies at school and among my peers I stood out to be the best . I was very ambitious girl and my parents wanted the best in me and always encouraged me to work hard work especially at school.
I went to Kasisi girls Secondary school where I completed my form 5 and obtained division one school certificate. Unfortunately as I was trying to enroll at the University of Zambia, untimetly death caught up with parents in a roll , first Dad and followed by Mum. I was really devastated because my dreams to study at the University was shattered. Losing both parents and to accept the challenges ahead of me was very hard as I spent a cup of years struggling to get back to my feet once again.
After undergoing some hardship, I accepted the situation at hand , collected all the pieces together to refocus on my life goals. I started working part time jobs at a local restaurant to raise some money and go back to school. I started believing in myself to realize my dreams again. To summerize my childhood lifestyle, I managed to complete my University studies and graduated with a degree in business administration.
However, looking at the job market, it was hard for me to get a job and decided to venture into business and having a great passion for food business , I opened a restaurant business. My hobbies, I like reading books and listening to music and during leisure time , I love sharing gifts to vulnerable children in our community and visiting and helping patients in hospitals.
I ran a restaurant business in our community and it is one of the restaurants that provides quality food staffs. I provide and sell a range of food menu for my customers to choose their favorite meals. These are chicken & chips, sausage & chips & salads., goat meat, fish, bush meat, beef stew, nshima, dry fish, t-born and chicken shawarma etc.
These variety of food is on demand on a daily basis and customers come to buy daily. Due to traffic of customers, I lack the restaurant tables, chairs, saving pans, food warmers , industrial cooker to prepare more food for the customers and accommodate more customers. I intend to expand so that I could be generating more revenue. I started the restaurant business with an initial capital of K 15,000.00 and I generate K 1500.00 every day and per week K 6500.00 of which per month , I generate a total profit of K 18,000.00 . The profits I generate , I use it for reinvesting in the business, pay restaurant rentals, pay school fees for my children and home improvement and support my family members in need.
Due to the growing demand at the restaurant, I need more funds to buy restaurant equipments for preparing more food staffs to meet the growing demand. I more restaurant chairs, tables, restaurant serving pans and pots and refrigeration for storage of food in the restaurant. Hence I will be making more money and employ more waitresses to be helping me and support my family financially.
