My name is Grace Mweene 23 years old. I live in Kamuchanga township in Mufulira town of the copper belt. I grew up in Kamuchanga and started school at Kamuchanga Primary School and later completed school at Mufulira Secondary School. When growing up , I used to help my father cutting and measuring fabric materials for making clothing such as suits , trousers and shirts. I did this at least 2 to 3 three years , when I completed school. Basically, I was indeed inspired and developed the passion of designing and tailoring. I therefore went to Mufulira Trades to acquire more skills in craft training and obtained a certificate in tailoring and designing of different clothing. I'm an entrepreneur and I own a business and my ambition is to grow the business because it is a great source of livelihood . I have two children whom I wish to get the best education of which one child should become a lawyer and another a medical doctor. During my leisure time I do gardening of vegetables and maize crop for home consumption.
I have a tailoring and designing shop of clothing at Kamuchanga market, I do make clothing productions of different types and these are school uniforms, suits, traditional clothing , trousers, shirts, skirts, dust coats for teachers, nurses , school jerseys and many more when required. Because of my good designs and profession works in the art of tailoring , demand is very overwhelming and I have a lot customers. Due to demand , I'm unable to meet demand and deliver the goods on time. Hence I need a total sum of ZMW 15,000.00 to help me buy a broidering , Knitting and a sewing machine to work effectively and deliver the goods on time. Should I buy these machine, I will be able to generate more funds and create jobs for the other youths without jobs in our community and improve the living standard of the family.
I need funds to buy the new sewing machine at my sewing shop because business is growing and demand is increasing especially customers running private schools to make orders for school uniforms, as such more revenue will generated and make more profits.
