I am a 49 years old father married with three children .professionally am an accountant previously employed in the formal sector, but quit one year ago to give business a try,I bought a small truck from my savings and opened a grocery shop which I run with my wife,I also operate as a transporter in Eastleigh area of nairobi.During my free time or rather my hobbies are philanthropy whereby I engage in a worldwide Bible education programme sponsored by Watchtower Bible and Tract society.
I operate a grocery ,where we sell all kinds of fruits I also offer transport services when am not delivering goods to my grocery. This Eastland part of Nairobi is densely populated and residents simply love fruits.
I would like to increase my stocks and diversify my products to make it a one stop shop.
We buy our products directly from farmers to maximize our margins.
I entirely depend on these two businesses to pay my bills.
My ultimate dream is to grow my grocery to May be a chain of supermarkets.
Now that the mango season is over,we are changing our products to avocados and bananas.A full bunch of banana at the farm is going for $2.00 whereas $1 will buy 45 pieces of avocados, this will give me very good margins because in Nairobi $1 can only buy 10 bananas.on the other hand $1 will buy 10 avocados.
New stock of avocados for my grocery shop
