Nchimunya Sibbuyu is my name , I was bornin Mufulira town in Kasuswa compound. Iam the first born in the family of 4 children. I went to Mufulira secondary school were I completed school. I surviving was so hard as a boy, I survived through hard times in my life to complete school. Jobs were hard to find in the city and I could not find any, until I joined a cooperative that was promoting agriculture farming for the youths especially our in take from high school. That is how I was empowered with funds after being trained on the importance of farming and how farming could change my life in future. The the empowered funds, I bought land at an affordable price about 2.5 hectors of land and that is how I became an entrepreneur in growing of vegetable and make a living out of it. Looking at the hard times I passed through , I endeavor to work extra hard to secure to a good future for children whey they grow up. Over the weekend when not in the vegetable gardens I help my children with their school work and also visits doing the same business to learn something I may to know about how to better my farming project.
I am fully involved in the farming of vegetables such as rape, chinese, heads of cabbages, tomatoes and onions. These are the goods I sale to market and to the people in our community. Generally vegetables are highly in demand very day. It is consumed every day. I supply in hotels, lodges, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Having demand for these products , I have to grow more vegetables hence I need more funds to help me buy organic fertilizer because it is very good for vegetable farming to have a good yield of crops for sale and make more profits , farming is a game changer and I could generate more revenue should I grow more crops for sale. The profits could be used to improve the living standard of my family.
The funds needed,I need to buy organic fertilizer and the chemical sprayer for the vegetable in my farm gardens. The main purpose is to expand my business and earn more profits. Most people in our community live vegetables hence it's an opportunity to have a more production of crops for sale.
