Let me introduce myself, my name is Sumarno, usually called Sumar, I come from East Java Indonesia and currently work as a farmer, I am currently 42 (forty-two) years old, I live in a rural area where the majority of the population works as rice field farmers. I am a dedicated farmer and have more than 20 (twenty) years of experience in the field of organic farming/rice type "ROJOLELE". My main focus so far is developing superior quality organic rice seeds by implementing a combination of environmentally friendly traditional farming through modernizing agricultural tools to increase sustainable rice yields. My educational background is majoring in education. I have a family with 1 (one) daughter who is currently 14 (fourteen) years old. My hobbies are reading books and exercising and learning about things related to the environment, especially the sustainable agriculture sector.
Farming is my profession inherited from my parents and grandmother, emphasizing the values and strong historical roots that have remained with me to this day. The goal of being a farmer is certainly noble for me and plays a vital role in ensuring food security for the community. My business focuses solely on the supply and sale of organic "rojolele" rice seeds, where my green business currently serves consumers in five villages. My green business aims to support increased economic income for my family and, in particular, to finance my daughter's education. My net profit per week from this business is approximately 450,000 rupiah, after deducting other costs. My business has provided a potential profit margin of approximately 15 to 25 percent higher than that of non-organic rice consumed by the general public, due to the higher price and selling value of organic rice seeds.
This loan aims to increase food and economic independence for my green business venture by developing organic rice cultivation for two weeks. I will use this loan to purchase a water sprayer for the organic rice seeds I'm growing on 750 square meters of land. My expected profit is IDR 180,000 from the proposed capital of IDR 417,000.
