My name is Pascal Orubia and I'm a 44 year old father from Nairobi, Kenya. I grew up in the village and it was a very humble but peaceful and happy childhood. I spent my days swimming in the local rivers with my friends and climbing trees to pick fruits. I came to start my business after staying unemployed for a long time after school. I borrowed a start up loan and was able to start my hardware shop more than 10 years ago. I have three children, one wants to be a pilot, another a teacher and the last one wants to be an engineer. In my free time I like sleeping because I get so tired and it refreshes me.
My business deals with goods that people need everyday in their houses, offices, hospitals and any establishments. I own and run a hardware shop which is important in any community. I sell things like padlocks, bulbs, pipes, plumbing equipment and much more. My typical costs in a month are around 180000kes . I make around 320000 per month. I use the profits to to pay my bills, school fees and provide basic necessities. Ofcourse some of the money goes back into investing in my business.
With these funds I will be able to expand my business by expanding the space where I operate and buying more stock to make sure my shop has everything the customers need. This will benefit the community by ensuring everyone has what they need in their homes and institutions without any hustle.
