i work with a clearing and forwarding firm which entails clearance of goods and cars from the port of Mombasa kenya. being a clearing agent, i act as the intermediary between Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya Ports Authority and the client themselves, therefore my services are quite important as most importers dont have the authority and expertise to clear their goods on their own. i chose clearing since i had a passion for it and also was an easy job considering my education. most of the profit i us for personal needs and also helping out with my siblings school fees.
with this loan i will pay for some of the clearing charges that one of my clients has failed to pay amounting to USD200, to ensure that the car doesnt incur more storage charges at the port, thereafter i will hold the car in my possession and charge him 50% interest. this also ensures the vehicle is not disposed off by KRA through auction.
