My previous educational background is in agricultural studies. I am a young farmer who is very dedicated to cultivating ginger plants since childhood. My family currently consists of 2 (two) children and 1 (one) wife and all of them were raised in the environment of ginger cultivation. This business is a hereditary business and a continuation of the business of my grandfather and grandmother who have been farming ginger cultivation for a long time. As a young farmer who concentrates and focuses on the ginger business, I am responsible for supporting my family, including my children in completing their education. This business is the front line of economic income for my family, while my hopes and aspirations are to be able to finance the education process of my 2 (two) children to higher education and be independent in the future and continue this business. While my other hobbies are fishing, cycling and mixing for luck in fighting the bandot.
I have been a ginger farmer since 2000, this business focuses on three main types of ginger that are suitable for my land environment, namely (red ginger (usually for medicinal consumption), white ginger or often known as emprit ginger for consumption of spices and herbal medicine and white ginger often known as elephant ginger for fresh consumption and export to various countries especially Taiwan and China. This ginger plant is very suitable in my area with a tropical climate and high rainfall and loose soil rich in organic matter and not waterlogged. On average I will harvest at the age of 9 (nine) months for fresh consumption ginger, and 12 (twelve) months for ginger that is used as seeds with superior quality. The average profit of my business in one week gets a net profit of around 850,000 to 1,500,000 IDR. Currently I serve customers or regular buyers of my ginger from traditional market traders including regular requests from the herbal medicine factory PT. DALBAN RAJA KURO in Surabaya (a herbal medicine company in Surabaya Indonesia)
The purpose of this loan application is to purchase fertilizer for my ginger garden, which will accelerate leaf and stem growth and increase nutrient content. This will make my ginger garden fertile, allowing for faster harvests and better quality ginger, thereby increasing my income and improving my family's well-being.
