Am a Kenyan woman aged 44. Am based in kenya in rural settings of Kiambu county. Am very obsessive in poultry farm in and I dream of owning a very large farm in near future. However lack of finance and sideline from the local banking systems and credit facilitaties for lack of collaterals always dismantal our dreams hence they remain as thoughts. These led me to Zidisha. I did my first loan and now I want to increase my limit until I manage to reach my goals.

Am currently doing poultry farming in small scale. Am specialising in local improved dual purpose. They are locally called kuroilers. Any batch contain both hens and cocks mostly at the ratio of 50/50. So cocks can be sold for meat and hens are left behind to lay and these contribute to a regular surply of eggs for sale creating regular income for two years because they don't go broody.. The eggs are fertilised so I use these eggs for brooding artificially because hens cannot brood. These three factors, cocks for chicken meat, eggs for sale and brooding made me venture in kuroilers farming.

I want to buy vaccine since it's due as I increase my credit limit to rise so that I can increase my capital. These will help me meet my target of over 1000birds. Currently am at 200 birds. From my trial and small experience that I have gained, with what am doing the more the number, the less the cost of production and so more profit. These led me to think of a capital loan boost. Am sure I will make it with zidisha
