My name is Chrissostom Achilla I'm 31yrs married with two kids.I am from homabay county, currently staying in Nairobi.I was born in a family of 10 children where I am the 3rd born in the family.My Father died when we were young and growing up in the hands of a single mother wasn't easy at all.I started my primary Education in Kobila primary homabay county.Afte passing with flying colors,I joined Shiner's High school in Nairobi where I finished my form four,thanks to my mother who went through the struggles of life to make sure I went to school.
I graduated from high school in 2011 and honestly I made my mother proud after passing and being among the best students in school.
Unluckily,I never made it to high school,since I was raised by a single mom and I had to give other siblings a chance too.
I was always interested in agriculture since my childhood and I remember when I was young,I used to help my mother feed her chicken and even chose to do agriculture in highschool.
Since I had to help my mother look after my younger siblings,I thought of something I could do to help us get some money for food and school fee for my siblings.I started a poultry business because that's what I could do best! Since life has to continue.
My business has been doing well for some years now and I would like to grow it bigger.
I'm into a poultry business,I keep both broilers and layers.Since in my area there is high demand for chicken meat and eggs, therefore this made me choose this kind of business.Broilers can be ready for market in 5-8 weeks and layers provide daily income from eggs leading to fast consistent cash.
I am honest requesting for help so that I can build or renovate a poultry house...by buying materials like wood,iron sheets and wire mesh.And also to purchase brooders,feeders,drinkers and lighting systems.Thank you
I will buy more feeders, drinkers and lighting.I will also extend the poultry house and ensuring a good ventilation.My family will benefit from this by getting a source of income and also I'll employ people who will help with the project.
