I was born and raised in Kericho County, Sigowet Division. I schooled in Musaria Primary School, in the year 1987, in the same division. I sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in 1995. I then proceeded to Roret Girls for my secondary education before joining Buruburu Girls for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2000. I was employed to work as a matron at Resam Academy in 2001. I joined Maseno University in 2002 for a degree course in Bachelor of Education. All was well until a strike occurred and the university was closed indefinitely. I went back to work for Resam to teach for one Year and later went to Nkumba University for the same course. I have working as a teacher since 2009.
I am lucky to be teaching in a school next to my home. Teaching has served me really well since I cleared college. There have been more responsibilities on my side on my side now that I am a family woman. I am able to engage myself in agriculture. I live in a place that is a hub of agriculture with good climate and fertile soil coupled with good roads that makes it easy for farmers to get to the market. I do several things but in small scale. For example, I rear chicken, plants vegetables, dairy farming. What I reap most from is potato farming. It does so well in my place and takes only 3-4 months to harvest. There is never a problem with the markets because the buyers come to buy them in the farm. This has been my financial backbone for long.

At the moment I need the loan to prepare one acre of land for planting potatoes. This will addition to the ones I already. My view is that by August, I will have harvested from the other land and I will have enough seeds to plant this one. I will also have enough money by then to pay for labor and buy fertilizer. This acre will be ready for planting by then.
