My names are Brian chemjor, am farmer and a business man by profession, I studied at Kapcherop primary school and kericho high school, later joined Kericho technical polytechnic and graduated with diploma certificate in Business management.
I was lucky in my home we had a big land because after campus i tarmacked in search of a job, My father introduced me to farming which i later came to like and found passion in it.
I tried to do marketing of farm produce for some time which increased demand.
My parents liked how i managed to search for customers they ended up planting on large scale, Within two years we had doubled profits and leased more land for farming of tomatoes.
I deal with farming of Tomatoes on a family land,. This is a family business where my parents put more concentration on production and i put more effort on marketing of the produce, We work together to increase our profits and reduce cost of production so to make the most out of farming.
Its quite expensive to buy pesticides, digging and paying lab-ours however we managed to gain profits after good harvest, Some times one can face poor whether conditions which might lead to big loss as the tomatoes will dry before harvesting.
Once i receive the loan amount of 4 us dollars i will top to 60 us dollars and use the money to do print out of business cards.
The business cards i will use to advertise farm produce in big hotels in town, This might lead to customer increase and sell of more produce.
I will be repaying my loan on weekly installments from the profits i make in farming.
