I was born in kakamega county in Ikolomani district in makhokho village in a family of thirteen. My father is a polygamist.he has three wives at the moment after he separated with my mother. we are three who we share same mother. I am the first born.life was not easy having been born in a polygamy set up. provision of basic needs was a night mare, our father could not provide at some point in life at an early age when I was born he had a job but he was too alcoholic to do carry his responsibility as the head of the home.he was so abusive and brutal.my mother had to run for her safety and ours too....life was terrible in mind that our mother had no education at all...this prevented her from securing a formal job to sustain us. due to this hard ship no food on the table very common ....I found a man in the kibera slum who took me to be like one of his son where he provided for me ,he helped my mother to secure a job a a cleaner in his friends officel........ife started making some meaning....he took me to school after forth form I had grown to be self reliant where I started to sell household goods through a friend who used to run his shop...ideally I wanted to help my other siblings to earn a living by buying them food.In our village poverty carries the day...men have neglected their roles ...we farm to earn a living.
I sell house hold goods in kibera kikera drive off ngong road where I sell cups, plates and sufuria, cooking pans.
I started doing the business in the year 2006 in June.
The reason I began the business its because I wanted to meet my needs like provide for my family.pay my children fees, pay rents and settle bills too.
My biggest challenge is funds to boost my stock and be able to retain my clients with consistent stock at my shop as I sell my products to my growing clients.
My customers are road passers, friends and neighbors.these include low, middle and high class clients.
My goal is to establish a stable business, reach more clients and be able to retain them wholly. My other goal is to mentor young men in the slum to engage in business and be able to provide for their families without leaving their responsibility only to women only.
I am proud when I serve my clients well and they bring other clients without myself marketing, I am proud to serve them best and they get to smile.
I am going to buy ceramic plates, ceramic cups, cooking pans and glasses
I will have boosted my stock which will attract more clients to come and buy and thus increase in revenue and profit.....
My business will grow, will be able to maintain my clients both new and existing ones because of stock that I will be having for sale, I will create more jobs as I open more other branches.....
My life will improve and for my family....I will meet my needs and for my family with ease I will be at peace and be more productive...My kids will school well as well as meeting their needs fully as the Man of the house an has responsiblity...
