My name is Dickson Omwenga 31 yrs of age born in Nakuru Kenya and raised in the suburbs of the town in a village called Bahati.

I am the second born in my family. My mother's name is Eunice Bochere and my father's name is Peterson Omwenga.

I studied up to high school and I did not manage to continue to college due to financial difficulties.

I sought to make my life successful by starting doing poultry farming within our compound where I used available resources. In the year 2022 I married my beloved wife Jacky and we are blessed with one baby boy.

I love taking my family out on weekends for nature walk in the park and also my son likes skating.

I do daily farming and poultry in my village home in Nakuru town at Bahati area. I started in the year 2018 after realising the rear opportunity many people ignore but with clean money and solving food issue withing the community.

My farm supplies eggs, milk and fruits to the market on daily basis.

My general expenses are from drugs and fertilizers. Rarely I employ 2 people to help me when necessary because I do it with my wife.

My profits I use to save, pay running expenses and pay for my kid tuition fee.

I want to grow with zidisha since I want to expand my poultry business. I need about Ksh.10000 to buy 3bags of fertilisers to use to plant nappier grass in an acre of land.

I am buying high quality feeds for my chicken to supplement my locally made feeds. I expanded my poultry farm from the funds I received last time from zidisha and now I have more chicken which needs quality feeds.

I will be able to collect more eggs and keep my community supplied as I also maximise the profit. Thank you.
