I am Emmanuel Mutai aka Manu.
Currently, I am working as a freelance Project Lead, Data entry specialist, Editor & translator for English>Swahili documents. I have 5 years of experience in the translation industry. At other times, I do engage in farming and doing small-scale business activities, due to the potential of thriving in agribusiness in my country, Kenya. My hobbies involve listening to music as I engage in my activities, reading leadership and motivational books, volunteering in children's homes and the needy in the society, watching football, adventure, and socializing.
I started my farming business immediately after completing my high school studies, this is because i do come from an area zone of farming. Having come from a humble background, I had to do something in order to get funds for school fees and money for sustenance. At least I was able to finish college with the income from the business.
This time round, I would like to borrow a loan to use in completing the house I am building in the village where I always do my farming. I started the house project, but towards the end, I have run out of funds to complete it. I believe that by setting up a good house, it will help me have security from my farming items and tools. I still need window panes, plywood, and paint for painting. I always believe in Zidisha because it helps people achieve their dreams through financial support. The total cost of the funds I need is around $100.
Dear Lenders,
I am requesting your help in raising funds, which I will use to purchase podcast equipment for recording educational audio content to teach learners. After the acquisition of this set of equipment, it will assist me in earning a living by creating educational audios for teaching, and then I will be paid. My family will benefit in this proejct because after I make money from the records I will be making, they will get food from me.
Using this set of equipment, I will be contracting some community members to record audios, and then I will pay them. This is a project aimed at utilizing the digital platform for generating content, so this will involve many community members.
