I grew up in uasin gishu county. Our family had children My parents were unemployed and they used to farm. Life was hard but we managed with the little that we could find. I didn't complete my education and this couldn't allow me to get employment. I now live in the uasin gishu municipality with my family and this is where I also run my business. My dream is to expand the business and employ some of the residents who are also jobless and help them help their families.
My business sells Bhajia, Chips and crips to the local residents of kibera. I decided to start this business because I did a research and found out that it could sustain me and my family. The biggest challenge is when the prices of potatoes go high. My goal is to expand my business and help my family get out of poverty.
In a month i make profits of $ 70 which i use to cater for my family needs.
Given the loan together with my little savings i will use it to buy potatoes, cooking oil, woods and food color, all will cost Kshs 5,000/=.
With this im looking forward to increase my profits.
Thanks zidisha for your continued support
