I am the second born in a family of four one brother mum and dad, am aged 33 years now, a graduate from Makerere University with a bachelors degree of information management and currently carrying out research for my masters degree of science in computer systems at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Currently am a teacher of ICT and business studies at Busara Forest View Academy and an entrepreneur having started cyber cafe, computer games stations and selling computer equipment's. I am also a consultant, tutor and trainer on ICT matters, I live in Nakuru at a place called Njoro near Egerton university.
four years ago i established a cyber cafe in njoro town located at the out skirts of nakuru town approximately 19km from town. I didn't have enough capital at the time so i only bought three computers to start with. I decided to open this business because it is in line with my profession of Information and Communication technology (ICT). Njoro has a large population that is mostly made up of 80% of young men and women. These people are frequent and intense users of internet, printing, scanning and computer gaming services I provide in the cyber cafe. In the locality there are very few cyber cafes and none that provide computer gaming services which don't post a great competitive threat to my business. I am an IT Graduate and I believe and am very confident that if I get additional capital I will purchase very good computers with very high speed and with advanced graphic cards for the games and fast printing machines to enhance service delivery and customer retention. This will also make me the best cyber cafe in the town since I will give a conducive, friendly, timely and effective services and affordable prices that will attract more customers to the cafe. I incur an approximately operation cost of 14,000/= Kenyan shillings and get a maximum of 28,000/= Kenyan shillings. I don't fully depended in the revenues from the business earning because I am employed and my salary even goes to the business for it to expand faster. Part of the revenue will go to repay the loan that will be granted as well as well as part of my salary that goes to the business this assures my leaders of prompt repayment. my first loan repayment is evident enough to provide confidence to my lenders about my credit history.
I want to buy a 1GB RAM chip to increase the speed of my desktop computer costing 999/= ksh This will satisfy my customers by reducing the time of loading programs on the machine and therfore projecting the profits to increase by 10%
