Asafu Phiri is my name, aged 43 years old. I live in Bauleni shanty compound. I am a father of 5 children. Growing up in a poor family was a big challenge for me as I had difficulties to be enrolled in school. My parents were unable to pay for my school fees as they were not employed. Through well wishers especially rehabilitation centers for vulnerable youths in the community, I was one of those that was picked due to my vulnerability to acquire life skills, among the skills that were offered, carpentry, welding, tailoring and printing. I was trained for 2 years in the field of printing until I was awarded a certificate in printing services such as designing, printing books, laminating, binding and printing clothing etc.

Due to my hard at the rehabilitation center, I proved to be competent and hard working in the art of printing until I was offered a job to work with Zambia daily mail in the printing department where I work for 5 years . While working I was saving some money to venture into printing services business. Having a great passion in printing services I open a small shop in the central business where I now own a shop and I provide printing services to my community and the general public.

My hobbies , I like cooking and listening to music and in during free time , I like watching football and helping my children with school work.

I own a printing shop and I provide printing services I sell of different kind such as printing book, laminating, printing t-shirts, printing and installing the bill boards and designing services involving the art of printing. I choose this kind of business because I generate revenue daily and per week I make K7000.00 and per month I earn total revenue of approximately K 30,000.00 and to start this business In first bought the printing machine which costed me K 65,000.00. However the challenges I have to is repair the printing machine for printing paper and making t-shirt and the broidery machine. I intend to expand so that I can be generating more revenue so that the profits earned , is to support my children by paying school fees for them so that they can do well in school and become resourceful and better children in future than the struggles I went through. However, I also intend to create jobs for the youths as the business grows to the youths in our community who are vulnerable to raise money and support their families.

The funds needed are for repairing the printing machine which has been giving me a lot challenges. Work has come to a stand still because main printing machine is working and producing quality printing works, should I receive the funds the machine urgently needed to be repaired drive work and revenue generation. The profits I use them for reinvestment, paying school for the children, pay wages and some shop rentals.
