Hi Zidisha team, I am 24 years old. My name is Charity Kaniki , I live in Chingola town located in Kabundi East township. I could not completed my secondary properly because I got pregnant and dropped out of school. I have two beautiful children. I was a student of home economics and I was very good at cooking food for the teachers and hence I developed the art of cooking very well and that led to start up restaurant business in our local community for survival. When starting the business I struggle to find some money to buy some restaurant equipment . Later , when a joined a youth cooperative in our community under the community development fund , I was among the beneficiary and as such that led me to start running my own small restaurant business. My vision is big and having seen this opportunity and great potential of making good money I want to establish more restaurants and create more jobs for the youths in our community. Being connected to Zidiaha , it is great opportunity to grow and expand my resaturant business.
I have a shop in our community where I ran a small restaurant business . Customers response is very overwhelming and I'm generating good money and the business is highly profitable . I provide food which most people consume daily during lunch hours . I prepare local foods such as nshima with beef stew, chicken, fish, t-born, hungarian sausages, chips, burgers, meat pies, chicken pie, egg roll and many more. Demand is high and I sale very fast , I choose this business because its highly profitable and food sales very fast. Its fast consumable and I generate funds very fast. I need to at least ZMW 15,000.00 to support me in buying more restaurant tables, chairs and cooler freezer for selling soft drinks and mineral water.
Due to high demand and a big traffic of customers, I need the funds to buy the restaurant tables and chairs to accommodate a good number of customers coming to have food at my restaurant. As such I will increase revenue and make more profits. My vision is to have a good number of restaurant in the town of Chingola so that I create jobs for my fellow youth looking for jobs.
