I am Salome Aoko Ogada, I was born on 25th September, 1980 in Kendu bay Sub-county of Homabay county in the republic of Kenya. I am a fifth born in a family of twelve children. My parent died in a road accident in 197 when I was only seven years. I grew up under the care of my uncle, who could not cope with high cost of living and I dropped out of school in standard four. I did manual jobs to sustain myself and got married at a tender age 17yrs. As fate would be my husband also died in 2001 and left me with three children who am taking care of to date.

I ventured into business as teenager to support my husband in family upkeep. Due to minimal education I started selling groceries which I harvested from my farm. We (my family) then relocated to Nyenye beach where I started fish (omena) business. I began with a small capital I saved from the previous business. Currently the business has grown but I still need financial support to expand it especially now that my children have grown –up and I have school fee to pay as well as providing basic necessities being a widow. I can make a profit ranging from Ksh. 300 to ksh.600 daily which translates to Ksh. 1800 to Ksh. 3600 per week as I work six days a week. My future goals are to own a vessel full with fishing gears to maximize on my income.

Dear members am very grateful for accepting my membership application. As stated above i want to restock my business buying Fish products in bulk and supply to outside customers like schools, colleges etc. Last May 2016 the nearest primary school introduced feeding programme for pupils and staff, which now requires frequent and enough supply of the small fish (Omena) products. I applied and won a tender to supply the school from next month (September 2016). This now requires big capital to keep the flow of supply. Therefore i place my humble loan proposal for consideration.
