My name is Gregory Odhiambo. I hail from Siaya county, Kenya. I attended Ndere Boys Primary School to pursue my basic education. I did my final exams 2017, then joined Ramba Boys High School, where I finished my programme in the year 2021.

In 2022, I joined Maasai Mara University in Narok to pursue Bachelor's Degree of Education Science, where I'm set to graduate in December 2026. In my first year and second year in campus, I was employed by a former student as a shop attendant during my part time. This shop dealt with basic home supplies like soaps, bread, bedding, mattresses among others, which are in high demand among campus students living around, and the community at large. It's here that I developed entrepreneurship skills that would later sustain me to this point.

When my employer moved to Nairobi, he left a few things in the shop to sell until they're finished. My father got me some loan and restocked the shop when my employer's time was over. I became the now shop owner, a venture that changed my life for better.

I have so far set up two barbershops and a small food joint where I have also employed other people to manage.

In sell basic home supplies and snacks alongside bedding and mattresses. I also have two barbershops and a small food joint. I opted for such ventures because they're in very high demand in Narok Town, where the main population consists of college and university students, who are the main customers.

The profits made are always channelled towards paying school fees and other activities.

Having a shop of this kind at a highly populated place needs constant restocking. These funds will help me buy the necessary goods for supply. The profits after sales will be regenerated back into the business. This will be a source of sustainability for me and my family, as I feed atleast a family through employment in the rest of my businesses.
