My name is Christabel Ngumbu, born and raised in Nyeri and a firstborn in a family of four. I’m a married woman and a mother to a baby boy. I reside in Ol kalou a sub county of Nyandarua county. I went to Ol jororok Primary later joined Nyahururu Girls High. After High School, I enrolled for CPA course where i attended evening classes and hustled during the day to make ends meet. I was lucky to get employment 2 years after college but the salary can’t cater for all of my family’s needs so I ventured into second hand clothes early last year and added other goods that are on demand on day to day life. I enjoy going for Safaris now that my son is still young.
I started my business in February 2016 selling second hand clothes later added sandal , various plastics bags etc ( called mali mali). These kind of goods are affordable to low income earners because they fit in the budget.
I chose this kind of business because the goods I offer are a must in most people’s daily lives and are affordable.
My typical costs includes paying county council, and rent. I have been using my profits to pay school fees for my siblings and improving my house
I want to replace my blow drier which keeps breaking down and also add another one.the remaining funds i want to stock more hair products like braids, hair food, and treatment
Equipment for beauty salon
