I was born in the year 1982 from a humble family. After my Secondary education I started venturing into ICT business in Bungoma Town, Western Kenya. I later Did a Diploma in ICT.
I have been in ICT Business for the last 10 years and It is growing well and I expect my business to grow at a rate of 5% per year.
I deal with ICT business: My businesses include typesetting and printing, Photocopying, Internet and Online Government support programs to my clients.
The idea of this ICT Project started after being trained by UNDP on how to open and Manage ICT centers in Rural areas as an aim of opening up Technological gap between urban and Rural areas of Kenya and the World at large.
This was so because many people in rural areas have been left behind due to Technological Gap.
After applying this idea, it worked and the business has been doing well.
I normally make a profit of Kshs. 10,000 ( 100 dollars ) to Kshs. 15,000/- ( 150 Dollars ) per month after deducting all the expenses.
I have also invested in Agro Business and I sell atleast 2 crates of eggs daily.
I have employed 3 workers as volunteers and I pay them on daily basis at 3 Dollars per day in rural area but at the end of the day , they are being trained.
From business ICT and Sale of Eggs, I will be able to repay my Loan without any problem.
The profit I make, I normally do savings and re-invest in business.
Technology has been a big big problem in Kenya. 60% of people in Kenya are in Rural Areas and have problem in Technology. Accessing Government services, Online services, ICT services like printing, photocopying and Internet is not in Rural areas.
So my Project targets supporting the rural areas with New Technology so that people can be able to access ICT services easily at affordable prices.
I request my lenders to support my Ideas by lending me money so that I expand ICT in Rural areas.
Rising ict in rural areas
