My name is Harrison Katoba , a father of 4 children. I live in Kasompe Compound in Chingola , copper belt province. My wife passed on and I look after my children all alone. I completed secondary school and I hold a Diploma in Public Relations , I also hold a degree in Business Administration. Growing a humble family life was not easy and you have to work hard for your to achieve good results. I started working as a clerk , earning little income and thought could over challenges , but could not , until I though of engaging into farming , my father left good farming which was not utilized , I started growing groundnuts , fruits such oranges, lemons and apples. At first I thought I would not succeed until I started earning good income which was sustainable to look after my family very well. Raising children also is not easy at all, currently I opt to work extra hard to secure a good future of children and until they grown up to become well responsible children. In my leisure time, I take time to educate my children about life and also help me with their school work to shape their education skills.
I grow groundnuts and fruits such as oranges, lemons and apples, mainly I process groundnuts to make peanut better and peanut butter has proved to be highly sellable and in demand. Peanut butter is very useful to young children and elders and also patients hospital for preparation of porridge and porridge for the young one. I choose this business of growing groundnuts and fruits because it is profitable and highly in demand as such I would like to expand by buying my own machine for processing the peanuts and distribute or selling it in different shops. Currently , I have also the challenge of schools to sort for two children to be in class. Hence I funds to boost me up and better the lives of my peope in our community.
I need the funds to help me pay for my children 's school fees, buy school shoes, books and uniforms. I want them to have a better future. The children are the future to empower the next generation in our communities today.
