I am Takajua, a passionate storyteller who loves inspiring children through engaging tales about nature, animals, and the importance of conserving the environment. Ever since I was a child, storybooks have held a special place in my heart, fueling my imagination and nurturing my creativity.
As a self-published author, my book Sema Hapana kwa Ukataji Miti is a testament to my commitment to environmental conservation. It’s proudly available at the Kenya National Library and has reached young readers across several local schools.
Through my stories, I aim to spark curiosity and a love for nature while fostering a sense of responsibility for the world around us.
As a blogger and self-published author, I share engaging stories online and in person at schools and selected events. My stories focus on themes like nature, animals, and environmental conservation, aiming to spark curiosity and instill values in young minds.
My goal is to make stories online ..
The project is about creating an illustrated book for children on drug abuse. The work will be presented at a forum attended by children at the main Kenya National Library in the course of this month. The book will have colorful eye catching illustrations to help understand the negative side of drugs.
The head of the library was encouraged by the initiative as many children and young people attend the library. He also suggested that the same be done for the youth as they are the group that is mostly affected.
The funds will be used to research both online and offline(at the library). A portion of it will be used to print a few copies of the book to go round at the presentation day which will be at the library.
If successful the book will mark my entry as an author of children's books. The children will be more informed about the uses and dangers of drugs and this will help them be good responsible citizens.
Excluding editing costs I expect a profit of 30% from the initial sales as the number of copies will be determined by the available funds.
