I come from a family of Wolof ethnicity, born in a neighborhood in the heart of Dakar. We moved to the suburbs of Dakar, Pikine and Dalifort. My occupation is working with an association of disabled persons, promoting an active life with the idea of 52 community projects. Without an educational degree, I opened a silk-screening workshop in the suburbs to earn my living. I intend to use this loan to buy primary materials such as t-shirts and inks for the moment, but I hope to transition to the new technology with computers and color printers with a t-shirt press, etc.
We provide customized products to support mobile advertising, such as t-shirts, pennants, stickers, numbers for sports jerseys, and all kinds of printed media. Our clients prefer our merchandise because we have experience in this trade. Our business is profitable because advertising items increase the visibility of companies and new technology, but we lack good equipment like computers, etc. We don't have a fixed monthly revenue because it depends on the orders we get. For example an order of 1,000 units at 100 francs each equals 100,000 francs total.
With the loan I will buy all of the necessary materials for the business such as t-shirts, hats, printing inks, flocking for totems and windows, transfer papers, reams of paper; rent for our workshop; and subcontracting with other businesses. I also plan to replace the computers, buy plotting machines to cut the flocking, and printing presses.
