My name is Mary Thuku, I grew up in Muranga county, Kangema town. I come from a humble background and my single mother singlehandedly brought us up untill we completed highschool. My brother and I were not privileged enough to attend college and therefore we started looking out for ourselves after Highschool. I started by doing construction jobs for a living and later started a smokie and eggs vending business from my savings.

I did a construction job for six months and managed to save some funds despite having multiple bills and educating my brother. I set up a smokie and eggs vending business after acquiring a trolley, a packet of smokies and a tray of eggs. I am really passionate about the business since it has been my source of livelihood for the past 5 years. This is one of the fast moving street snacks because of its affordability.

I will use the funds to purchase eggs and smokies trolly to enable me to make my services mobile..I will be able to move from one place to another thus covering a wider base of customers. This will increase my revenue and in future i might purchase more trolleys and hire additional workforce.
