ABOUT ME
My name is Linet Bisieri. I am a young, budding and upcoming entrepreneur.
Apart from standing in the gap for human rights, I am also an animal lover with a particular bias to cats :).
To this end, I volunteer in animal shelters in my county Kenya most notably the Kenya Society for the Protection & Care for Animals and also the Nairobi Feline Sanctuary. I also own 5 cats.
I also rescue stray cats within my neighborhood and where I am able financially, I neuter female cats to avoid further breeding.
MY BUSINESS
My business goes by the name of Treats, Nibbles and Kibbles and a quick search on Instagram and Tiktok using the same names will bring up the business pages.
There are limited options or varieties of pet food in Kenya and particularly cat food. The options available in our local grocery stores (we call them supermarkets here) and other cat food stores are very expensive and out of reach to the many animal lovers.
An idea was born last year August and I started importing cat food, treats and supplements for cats with special needs. My prices have been extremely affordable and still is affordable beating the local prices with about $10 - 12 dollars cheaper.
The business has been doing potentially well but I am impeded by business capital to import cat food in bulk quantities to meet the growing demand of the cat food and other nutritional supplements.
In case perhaps an investor is wondering why I have left out dog food, there is already plenty of it in the market which is sourced both locally and abroad and they are pocket friendly. The dog lovers community have found ways to create food for the pets to provide a proper nutritional balance unlike the cat lovers community.
I am looking forward to meet interested investors who will offer me capital to boost my cat food import business.
Thank you.
I will invest the loan amount and buy exrcise books for the children from financially challenged backgrounds.
The location of my school is in an informal settlement and it is a community school whose population comprises children from financially chllenged backgrounds.
Some of them are not able to pay learning starionery which lowers their self-esteem and the morale of learning and catching up with others dies down.
With your kind support, I will be able to buy the following:
10 Exercise Books each costs approximately $2
10 Pencils each costs approximately $2
10 Packets of Crayons each costs approximately $5
10 Manilla Papers each costs approximately $ 0.09682.
I will be very greateful and honoured to have you walk with me in this journey and support these children to propel their dreams.
Regards
Linet
Stationery for the kids!
