My name is Dolvin Aminga, I come from Kenya in the rural village in Kilifi but currently living in Nairobi at Chokaa estate where I do small business outside my rental house. I am a single mother of one handsome boy. My father’s name is Japhet Keraro and my mother's name is Jane Moiben. I am the first born in the family of four, two ladies and two boys. My highest level of education is diploma in community healthy however I have not secured a job and that is why I decided to start a small business to support me and my son.
I operate a small grocery store in an open market near where I stay which I started in 2023. I sell food stuffs like tomatoes, onions, vegetables etc. It runs well since it is at a strategic place with high population of people. I chose this business because of the high population of people who depend on nearby food supply. My main expenses are paying rent for the space and for purchases of stock. I get supplies from farmers directly which makes my sells high because of freshness. I use the profit to pay my rent and buy food while the remaining I pay for my son day care. I save a small portion of it in a sacco which I get some dividends annually.
I will happily add stock of cereals to my grocery. Since many customers come to ask, I will make more sales and satisfy my customers. My customers will be happy and refer others to me. I will use the profit to repay my loan and save some. Thank you.
